OUR TRAINERS

Reckless CrossFit was established by husband and wife, Josh and Brittany Page in May 2011. After being stationed at Camp Pendleton in California, both became extremely passionate about CrossFit after trying out a few CrossFit.com WOD’s. Once Josh got out of the Marine Corps the desire to move back to Illinois sparked the idea of opening thier own CrossFit gym, and to build a community of people committed fitness right here in the small town of Plano.

Josh has a true passion for coaching and helping athletes achieve their goals. Josh does all of the workout programming for Reckless CrossFit. Josh is a CrossFit Level I Certified Trainer and a 2012, 2013, and 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games North Central Regionals Competitor. Although Josh takes his coaching and his own training very seriously, you will find that his classes have a relaxed and amusing atmosphere to them.

Brittany is the marketing, PR, communications, photography and design brains behind Reckless CrossFit. She uses her bright personality to build strong bonds with athletes from day one and goes above and beyond to make everyone feel like family. She hold a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Business Administration and Marketing with a Minor in Art. Originally from Plano, she is eager to grow CrossFit in our community and help people achieve their health and fitness goals.

Josh and Brittany create dynamic and varied workouts that will keep your body guessing and will keep you coming back for more. The two believe in creating strong relationships with and between athletes and are proactive in building an active, inclusive community through health and fitness.

BIO
I grew up in Oswego, IL and went to Oswego High School, where I graduated in just over 3 years. A couple weeks after graduating high school I headed off to the Marine Corps for Basic Training. After graduation form Basic Training, I attended the Marine Corps School of Infantry and was then presented with an opportunity to go to the Marine Corps Basic Reconnaissance Course. Shortly after graduating BRC (Basic Reconnaissance Course), I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After being stationed in Japan, I started training at CrossFit Asia. I immediately fell in love with the workouts and the intensity of the training. Over the past years I have been CrossFitting as much as possible. I have been to many CrossFit gyms, all over the world (Japan, California, Hawaii, Maine, Missouri, Georgia). I have had the opportunity to meet and work with some amazing coaches and athletes. I look forward to coaching and helping every one of you reach the true fitness levels you want in your life.

BIO
I grew up right here in Plano, Illinois and went to Plano High School. After graduating I attended Augustana College for 4 years where I was a member of the Dance Company. I loved the passion I felt while dancing and loved the shape that it kept my body in. I have never been one for working out, so dance was great…until I graduated college. I knew that I HAD to start working out I just had no clue how to go about it. I joined a few different “globo gyms” and had very little success. I get bored easily, so running on a treadmill and doing static lifts were not only un-amusing, but I was not getting in any better shape. After moving to California I decided to give CrossFit a try, seeing that’s all Josh ever talked about. After the first workout I was skeptical, but after finishing my first week I felt phenomenal. A little less than a year later here I am. CrossFit addict, never bored with the workouts, amazing results, and passionate about my fitness. CrossFit is so much more than a fitness regimen, it is a lifestyle. I have participated in numerous races and competitions and I am very eager to do more. I look forward to continuing to learn and live CrossFit.

I am from Aurora, Illinois and graduated from West Aurora High School. After graduating high school I made a plan to start working out every day. I started up at a local “globo gym” doing the conventional upper body days followed by some conditioning on the stair master. After doing this for about a year I felt pretty good about my fitness, until I tried my first CrossFit workout. I found CrossFit in 2011 and it has completely changed the way I look at fitness. At the end of my first week I realized I was hooked. I wasn’t happy with the results I was getting from my globo gym routine, so I quit and started attending CrossFit 5 days a week. I immediately fell in love with CrossFit and the community that came with it. CrossFit is so much more than just working out, the CrossFit community has led me to some amazing people that I am so thankful to have as a part of my life. I truly believe that Reckless CrossFit is the place for anyone, if you are willing to make the change to become the best you possible. I look forward to growing my knowledge of CrossFit and passing it along to others along the way.

I was born and raised in Chicago on the west side. I attended Prosser Career Academy High School and played Varsity Volleyball freshman through junior year. I also played basketball for one year, and swimming for two years. After working construction for a few years, I went back to school for my Associates in Engineering Sciences. I have been in the restoration business for 5 years now as an Operations Manager. In January of 2012 I tried CrossFit for the first time. With my athletic background I instantly fell in love with it. I met so many great people and friends, and a year later I started interning for Josh and Brittany. Two years after joining I received my Level 1 thanks to them. It has been one of the greatest decisions of my life to join Reckless and it has helped me get in the greatest shape I’ve ever been in. I had never imagined I would be a trainer in any type of fitness. I am very fortunate that I became one in CrossFit for the Reckless family.

I am from Aurora, IL and attended Aurora Central Catholic High School. I have an associates degree in Criminal Justice and I am a full time police officer at the Aurora Police Department. I started CrossFit in 2012 after struggling with fitness for years and being bored of the same old routine. I instantly fell in love with Olympic lifts, the varied programing, and all the new challenges I did not know existed. With the help of Reckless CrossFit and my fellow coaches I am in the best shape of my life. Not only has CrossFit made healthier and fitter, but I have met so many great people in the community and gained so many new friendships at Reckless Crossfit.

I grew up here in Plano where I found a love for sports at a young age. I was active in Football and Track during High School. We went to Playoffs for Football 3 years, and I placed in Conference for Pole Vault in Track. After graduating, I started looking for a better way to prepare myself for college football. That’s when I found Reckless. After training for the summer I was completely in love with everything Reckless had to offer and with CrossFit itself. I went off to the University of Dubuque to play football and continued to use CrossFit as supplemental training during the season. After Dubuque I headed back to Plano, and am currently studying Nursing. I am excited to intern and learn under the guidance of Josh and Brittany. I have just started competing and I am eager to see where my journey with CrossFit takes me.

I am from Bristol, IL. I am full time high school student – though home-schooled. My path to Reckless CrossFit was “less direct”…it involved a car, a tree, a helicopter, an extended hospital stay and then a “conventional rehab” program. I learned to breathe, walk, talk, eat, drink, etc… all over again. My “conventional rehab” was initially supplemented with Yoga and Acupuncture, as well as my own cardio and strength training program. My workouts, Yoga and Acupuncture eventually replaced the conventional rehab and instilled in me the desire to help others; which resulted in my enrollment in and completion of the above courses and continues to motivate and shape me. Through wake-surfing, I met Josh and Brittany and was introduced to CrossFit. I love it! Practicing CrossFit, as well as Yoga, provides an insight to adapt aspects of Yoga to enhance the CrossFit experience – a varied approach to Yoga tailored to CrossFit. I recognize that what we do throughout the week, can leave us a bit tender/sore/tight. I try to incorporate various stretches/poses from Yoga into a stretching program that will elongate the muscles so that you feel rejuvenated. I look forward to continuing my education of CrossFit, Yoga and myself…. and sharing what I find with each of you.
